Ontario REALTOR® Party Conference

With over 500 people in attendance, our conference featured an incredible line-up of speakers, including President George W. Bush, Prime Minister Jean Chrétien, and Premier Doug Ford.

Highlights included:

• The very first Ontario Liberal Leadership Debate
• A fireside chat with the Honourable Jody Wilson-Raybould and the Honourable Jane Philpott
• An announcement from the Ford Government that they would be introducing Bill 145, the Trust in Real Estate Services Act (TRESA)

This sold-out event also brought in the most sponsorships ever from OREA partners. Without their support we wouldn’t be able to hold this annual premier event which gives attendees back-stage access to the world of politics.

The event was especially notable this year with the announcement of TRESA. Since 2005, it has been a goal of OREA to have higher professional standards, including the introduction of Personal Real Estate Corporations. Once passed, TRESA will be groundbreaking legislation that will make Ontario a leader in North America.
